Promote literacy by supporting many worthwhile projects and programs.

• Books provided to women and chlidren in safe houses.
• "Bookmarks" and a Parent Pamphlet to encourage reading at home and school.

Provide scholarships to graduate students specializing in literacy education.

• The LOMCIRA Harold Covell Memorial Scholarship at UBC.
• The LOMCIRA Internatioanl Reading Association at SFU.

Receive our newsletter with articles, notification of upcoming LOMCIRA events, book reviews, opinions of other members about a variety of educational issues, and articles about things other educators are doing.

You are most welcome to attend our next Executive Council meetings or volunteer to serve on a committee. Annual membership fee is $20.00.
